Anxiety and Psychotherapy Treatment

Psychotherapy Treatment

The non-pharmacological treatment that this clinician would recommend would be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This type of therapy is modified based on the needs of the client. CBT has the ability to change psychologic thought processes, redirect negative behaviors, and create positive emotions for the patient and family. The implementation process of CBT is based on pathophysiological and psychological disorders that results in the ability to function better over a period of therapeutic sessions (Meza, R. D., Jungbluth, N., Sedlar, G., Martin, P., Berliner, L., Wiltsey-Stirman, S., & Dorsey, S.,2020).

This clinician would implement therapeutic psychological treatments that addresses the patient problems and focuses on the wellbeing of all concerns that effect the patients thought processes.

you must have the knowledge to decrease the clients’ signs and symptoms of MDD while at the same time providing cognitive behavioral therapy that promotes mental well being for the client being served. CBT is conducive to the provider and can be adjusted by the provider through the client’s perception, characteristics and their ability to confidently deliver the intervention. This is the reason this clinician will implement CBT as a nonpharmacological form of treatment each time a client presents with a mood disorder.

Explain the risk assessment you would use to inform your treatment decision making.

This provider would first assess the entire client, that means looking at not just the therapeutic treatment but the physiological status, emotional state, and financial state. According to Stahl, (2013), when you address the wellbeing of the client you treat the whole client not just the symptoms. By doing this type of case management services this provider will provide care that is needed and appropriate for the event. When you can implement care based on the risk assessment conducted you can decrease, reduce and promote mental health at it best.
